Affordable Legal Fees

Most criminal defense cases at our firm cost around $3,400 to $4,900 for the entire case. The lower fee is likely if there is little or no prior criminal history, the case is in Seattle courts, and the charge is not a DUI. This is based on several hours of expected attorney time needed to resolve matters, and the expertise and experience of competent legal advice and representation. We are not public defenders and do not simply "plead people out". Our goal is to reduce every criminal charge as much as possible, if not entirely wipe it out.

If a case is set for jury trial, there may be trial preparation costs of $2,000 or more. This is due to the requirement for subpoenas, jury instructions, interviews, ongoing negotiations with the prosecutor, and the preparation of the presentation of evidence, among other legal issues and documents to file.

About 99% of cases do not go to jury trial, however, so ultimately it is your choice - after receiving our advice - whether to go to trial or not. Most people want the matter resolved quickly, so we often work with busy prosecutors to make this possible, and get a break for pushing yet another case off their desks. Nonetheless, if we have procedural or constitutional violations, we will most certainly "take them to the mat" and seek to suppress evidence or have charges thrown out of court.
